"Church is what you do. Church is who you are."
The two central aims of each house church will be to promote biblical discipleship and Christ-like service. Each week the house church will meet in the group leader’s home for a small group bible study. The aims of these groups will be to connect people to Christ, help people to grow in their spiritual walk, develop people into servants of God's purposes, teach people to share the good news with others, and encourage people to surrender their lives fully to God. This will take place in the context of a relational community where each member will be challenged to connect with God and with each other on a more meaningful level.
Further, each house church will join with other house churches to participate in a monthly service project. These projects will be organized by the church leadership, but additional acts of service will be encouraged by house church leaders. Service projects will include such items as volunteer work at Target Dayton, assistance of the elderly with home maintenance and repair, community clean-ups, distribution of food in poorer neighborhoods, Habitat For Humanity projects, and other ministry opportunities as available.
